GREEN BAY – A look-alike bomb device brought to a park Wednesday afternoon was found to be fake.
Green Bay Police responded to a call at 2:56 p.m. to Otto Tank Park saying a juvenile presented what they called a bomb to other children playing at the park.
The children reported to an adult about the incident and police were dispatched. Children were moved to a park shelter away from the juvenile and the device.
When police arrived, they brought the juvenile into custody.
The device the juvenile called a bomb was actually a small black leather pen-sized wrapped item with a piece of thread sticking out of it.
This was not an explosive device, but since the juvenile presented the device as a bomb, police are asking they be charged and sent to juvenile detention.
