GREEN BAY – A former school librarian was sentenced to six months in jail for trying arrange online a meeting with a child for sex.
Jason Gehrke was sentenced last week after previously pleading no contest to child enticement, according to online court records.
Gehrke worked in the library at Keller and Wilder elementary schools. He was arrested during Operation Black Veil 2, during which undercover police officers posed as minors, and arranged meetings. The charges did not include any allegations that he had inappropriate interactions with children.
Gehrke was placed on probation for three years. He was also ordered not to purchase, possess, not to use a computer, software, hardware, or modem, unless his probation agent approves. Furthermore, he cannot have unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 unless prior approval given by the agent.
