TIGERTON – A 36-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after sheriff’s deputies say he fired a gun several times during a domestic disturbance.

Shawano County sheriff’s officials say they were called out around 2:40 a.m. A trained negotiator convinced the man to talk directly with Special Response Team members. The man told them all guns had been put away.

Deputies then went in and got control of the man. He was disobeying their commands and had a gun within reach, officials say. Eventually, they arrested him.

Other people were home at the time, authorities say.

The man’s name has not been released.
