CRANDON – A Wabeno man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a child abuse charge while four other counts, including attempted homicide, were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
Brandon Brunette will be sentenced Oct. 14, according to online court records.
Brunette tossed his girlfriend’s 19-month-old son across a room into a wall or TV stand. Investigators say boy suffered a fractured skull.
Prosecutors reserved the right to re-file homicide charges should the boy die before Oct. 18 – which would be a year and a day after the crime.
