Donut Muffins


1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup butter, melted

3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. baking powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup white sugar

1 tsp. ground cinnamon


Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Grease 24 mini muffin cups.

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, and nutmeg in large bowl.  Stir in milk. Mix in baking powder and flour until just combines.

Fill prepared muffin cups half full.

Bake in preheated oven 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.

While muffins are baking, place 1/4 cup melted butter in shallow bowl.  In separate bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.

Remove warm muffins from their cups.  Dip each in melted butter and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.
