Summer BBQ recipes from Chef Thomas Bacon


ASHWAUBENON – Chef Thomas Bacon created some great summer BBQ recipes that would be perfect for your next cook-out

He joined FOX 11’s Emily Deem on Good Day Wisconsin to prepare some great dishes.

Chef Bacon will also be teaching a class at the Green Bay Botanical Garden on Monday, July 21.

Black Magic:

2 cups onion powder

2 cups garlic powder

1 cup cayenne pepper 1/2 cup white pepper

1/2 cup black pepper

1 cup dried thyme

1 cup dried oregano

2 cups table salt

1 cup paprika

1 cup ground cumin

T. Bacon’s Cole slaw:

1 small head shredded cabbage

½ head purple cabbage

1 red onion fine julienne

1 red bell pepper fine julienne

1 green bell pepper fine julienne

1 cup shredded carrot

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Black Magic seasoning

1/4 cup brown sugar Salt and pepper

TBacon’s Sweet Rub

1/3 cup Brown Sugar

1/3 cup Sugar

¼ cup Paprika

2 TBLS Creole

1/3 cup Kosher Salt

2 TBLS Granulated Onion

2 TBLS Granulated Garlic

1/4 cup Bowl Of Red Chili Powder

1 tsp Ground Mustard

½ tsp Poultry Season

½ tsp Ginger

1/2 tsp All Spice

½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
