Kimberly Paperfest comes to a close

KIMBERLY – An annual tradition in the Fox Valley wrapped up Sunday.

People came out for the 26th annual Paperfest in Kimberly this weekend.

It wasn’t just about paper, there was plenty of fun for everyone.

People could participate in games and even watch a car and motorcycle show.

The three day festival also helps local non-profit organizations, churches and schools.

Instead of the workers getting paid, the money they earn working goes to charity.

Paperfest raises money for about 50 organizations, and some volunteers say they do it to strengthen the community.

“It’s really all about trying to make sure that we have an opportunity to bring the community together, spend some time, get to know your neighbors, that’s what we do here,” said Paperfest president James Boots.

Paperfest raises between 40 to 50 thousand dollars each year for local organizations.
