TOWN OF AMBERG – Police are still investigating a three vehicle crash involving two semi trucks and a car.

The driver of the car is under investigation for driving while intoxicated.

Police were dispatched at 2:40 a.m. Thursday in Marinette County at State Quarry Road and U.S. 141 north.

The driver of the car, 26-year-old Andrew R Kunna from Menasha, crossed the center line and hit a semi truck, driven by 48-year-old Brian Scott Herrala of Iron Mountain MI.

The semi trucks fuel tank and trailer fell on its side and blocked the roadway.

Another northbound semi truck driven by 48-year-old Peter W. Johnson of Manitowoc, was unable to stop in time and drove through and over the overturned semi truck.

Kunna was seriously injured and the drivers of the semi trucks are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic was detoured in both directions for several hours until the debris from the crash could be removed.
