MARINETTE COUNTY – People spent some time outdoors at the annual Marinette Logging and Heritage Festival.
There was plenty of entertainment, including music, a car show, children’s activities and lots of food.
Organizers say Marinette has a rich history when it comes to logging and it should be shared with those in the community.
“I think people need to know the history of their town, and I think we need to celebrate history. We are also very patriotic about this because we know that if it wasn’t for our forefathers, or for our veterans, we wouldn’t be able to celebrate the freedom that we have to have festivals like this,” said organizer Judy Alwin.
This is the fourth year for the event.
