APPLETON – Construction work on several downtown Appleton bridges may have an impact on your commute in the coming weeks.
Work will tentatively begin Monday on the Memorial Drive bridge over the Fox River and South Island Street bridge over the power canal. The work will reduce traffic on both bridges.
Crews expect the Memorial Drive bridge construction to last about four weeks and two weeks for the South Island Street bridge.
Crews will be doing surface patch work on both bridges and also some painting on the Memorial Drive bridge.
Starting on October 6th crews will also be doing work on the Lawe Street bridge over the Fox River.
