GREEN BAY – A Marinette business owner has pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion charges.

Joseph Wilke, 56, owns a heating and air conditioning business. Prosecutors say he did not report more than $130,000 he earned in a side business from 2007-2009. He under-reported his taxes by more than $50,000.

Wilke could spend up to five years in prison and be fined $250,000. He has also agreed to pay the IRS more than $18,000 in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties.

Wilke was released on bond. He is set to be sentenced Sept. 29.
