CLINTONVILLE – Wastewater from a dairy farm made it into a creek near Clintonville, the Department of Natural Resources says.

The water from the farm on Reinke Rd. ended up in Honek Creek, which flows into the Pigeon River. The flow from the farm has stopped, although the DNR is still investigating how much wastewater ended up in the creek and how long it was flowing in.

The farm, which has a DNR permit for discharging wastewater, is working to collect the released wastewater.

Meanwhile, the DNR is working with local officials to investigate the incident and tell neighbors about it.
