All American pasta salad for your summer parties


GREEN BAY – This pasta salad combines the flavors of grilled chicken and corn with BBQ sauce for a tasty side dish for your summer parties. Jennifer Servais from Not By Bread Alone in Ashwaubenon shared the recipe with us on Good Day Wisconsin.

All American BBQ Chicken Pasta

 1/2c Black Beans
1/2c Corn-preferably grilled off the cob
1 T Cilantro- chopped
1T Fresh Basil-chiffonade
1/2 c chopped green pepper
3 green onions-sliced
1/2 pt cherry tomatoes-cut in 1/2
2 boneless skinless chicken breast, marinated in bbq sauce, grilled and sliced thin.
1# rotini pasta- cooked al dente and refreshed
Dressing
1 garlic clove-chopped
1/2 shallot-minced
1/4c cream
1c sour cream
1 c mayonnaise
1/2 c bbq sauce
1/4c parsley
1t lemon juice
pinch of cayenne
Salt and Pepper
Combine the salad ingredients.  Combine dressing ingredients and toss with salad.
Makes approximately 5#.
