UPDATE: 6 people arrested for lighthouse and dog park graffiti

MANITOWOC – Six people are arrested for the graffiti done near the Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse last week.

Police say all six men and boys are from the Manitowoc and Two Rivers areas and are between the ages of 17 and 20.

Police are asking that all six suspects be charged with the offense of party to the crime of criminal damage to property. It is also recommended one of the males be charged with obstructing an officer.

During a series of interviews, several statements were made that the graffiti was gang related.

The spray paint graffiti was found on signs, railings and concrete walkways.

The mayor had closed the north pier, lighthouse and dog park June 27 for clean-up after swastikas and curse words were painted in the areas.

The suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday.
