NEW HOLSTEIN – An airport in New Holstein brought pilots together, flying some unusual planes.
Remote-controlled planes were the plane of choice for pilots Sunday.
The New Holstein Municipal Airport hosted its first RC Fly-In.
City leaders hope the event draws more people to use its airport.
Organizers say visitors came from all over the place.
“People from Manitowoc County, Calumet County, Illinois, we have some people from Illinois so people from all over,” said event coordinator Scott Cordy.
The event was free and open to the public.
Pilots say they hope the fly-in continues for years to come.
