Three local baseball players named first-team all-state

Kimberly’s Scott Schreiber, Clintonville’s Turner Doornink and Appleton North’s Connor Rolain were named first-team all-state by the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association for spring baseball.

Schreiber hit .480 and led the Papermakers to a state runner-up finish in Division 1 and will play collegiately at Nebraska.

Doornink hit .621 for Clintonville and Rolain hit .488 for the Fox Valley Association champion Lightning. Rolain will play baseball at Illinois Chicago.

Also named to the third team were Oshkosh North pitcher Alex Hintze and De Pere outfielder Connor Rutherford.
