The Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association released its all-state teams and there were plenty of local players mentioned, including seven first-team members.

Kimberly, the Division 1 state champs, had the most players on first team with four. They were: pitcher Megan Kleist, infielder Jenna Smarzinski, catcher Abby Menting and outfielder Sara Rosenow, all juniors.

Other local first-team picks were Kaukauna freshman pitcher Haley Hestekin, Kaukauna junior infielder Haley Huss and Shawano junior catcher Courtney Ainsworth.

The only area second-team pick was New London junior infielder Alanna Beyer, who helped her team reach the Division 2 state title game.
