OSHKOSH – A man suspected in the death of a three-year-old waived his preliminary hearing Monday.
Ryan Jorgenson will enter a plea to the first-degree reckless homicide charge July 11, according to online court records.
According to the criminal complaint, Jorgenson told first responders he thought the toddler fell down the stairs May 14. But the document shows the girl suffered brain hemorrhaging consistent with being thrown, slammed down, or shaken. She was later taken off life support. Police say, eventually, Jorgenson said he shoved the girl toward the stairs and she fell. The complaint also says the defendant told a another jail inmate he “did a very bad thing” and “hurt that little girl.”
