PLATTEVILLE – Governor Scott Walker spent the day touring the storm damage southern Wisconsin.
Walker first visited Verona and Platteville to get a look at the damage left behind.
He says it could have been worse.
Walker says help will be available to those affected.
“It’s going to be cleaning things up, making sure everything is cleaned up that’s going to take some time, but again we’ve got and we continue to have Wisconsin Emergency Management on site to make sure we’re giving them all the help they need,” said Walker.
State emergency managers say Platteville apparently was hit by two tornadoes.
