GREEN BAY – Calling all beer lovers! Kohler will be taking craft beer to a new level at this year’s Festival of Beer, June 27-29, 2014. For the first time, the event is taking on a theme. The three day fest will celebrate great grilled summer cuisine paired with great Wisconsin craft brews.
Chef Dan Dries, of Whistling Straits, joined us on Good Day Wisconsin for a preview of what we can expect. He made a Berkshire Pork Tenderloin with a Jigger Ale sauce. Jigger Ale is the beer served at Kohler golf courses and Horse & Plow — the only place in the U.S. where the beer is available.
Todd Destree of Capital Brewery brought beer samples and talked about things that pair well with certain beer.
Tricial Rathermel of Kohler Co. outlined the rest of the event, which includes more cooking demonstrations, beer tasting and even a lobster boil.
