WAUPACA – The suspect in a pair of New London arsons was ordered Thursday to stand trial.
Jesse McLammarah faces nine charges, include two counts of attempted homicide and two counts of arson for the May 20 fires. He waived a preliminary hearing Thursday. His arraignment is scheduled for June 25.
Two people were injured and six others were displaced by the early Tuesday morning fire in the apartments above the Copper Shot bar in downtown New London. Authorities say McLamarrah, 19, told them that fire was payback for an unpaid drug debt. An hour later, a playground outside New London High School was set on fire.
