A Chicago man will spend the next six years in federal prison after being convicted of selling heroin in the Fox Valley.

Federal prosecutors say Lamarcus Cargill, 27, was sentenced Tuesday for his role in the drug ring.

According to court documents, Cargill was recruited by his brother-in-law to act as the “muscle.” The documents say Cargill was expected to collect drug debts, deliver heroin, and on one occasion, commit the arson of a vehicle.

In addition to the prison sentence, Cargill was ordered to spend an additional 6 years on supervised release.
