MARINETTE – A man charged in connection with a fatal drunken driving crash was sentenced Wednesday to six years behind bars.
Joseph Hayes, 44, of Lemont, Ill., was convicted of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle for the Sept. 27 crash in Pound which killed Kristian Reed. Hayes’ vehicle struck Reed’s, killing him.
Hayes was sentenced to five years in prison and one year in jail, according to online court records. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $22,736.76.
