Preble High School student designs GBPD Marine Unit logo

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Police Department Marine Unit now has a new logo. It came from a student at Preble High School.

For nearly 13 years, the unit had been operating without one.

Monday, members surprised logo designer Aurianna Bennatt in class.

Her graphic incorporates an anchor, water, and the year the Marine Unit started.

The officers will wear shirts with the image imprinted on them when they do training or operate the boat.

The sophomore says she’s thrilled to see her design come to life.

“I’m pretty excited about it knowing that like my design is gonna be worn by all of these amazing people who keep the water safe and everything,” Bennatt said.

Bennatt was given a shirt with her logo on it. She will also have the chance to ride along on the police boat.
