MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke reports owning at least $150,000 in stocks and bonds.
It’s a rough estimate required by state law that doesn’t reveal her true net worth.
Burke filed her statement of economic interest Friday. She lists owning U.S. Treasury bonds worth more than $50,000, stock in Trek Bicycle Corp. worth more than $50,000 and stock in Roth Corp. worth more than $50,000.
Her late father partially owned Roth before spinning off Trek in 1975. She was an executive there in the 1990s.
Burke’s campaign spokesman Joe Zepecki declined to disclose her net worth beyond what was required in the report. Filers check the value of investments as being either between $5,000 and $50,000 or above $50,000.
Burke is running against Republican Governor Scott Walker.
