Appleton Memorial Day parade

APPLETON – Appleton will be observing the most important part of Memorial day today.

The Appleton Memorial Day parade will start at 9 a.m. on the corner of College Avenue and Appleton Street and make its way to Riverside Cemetery. The Moment of Remembrance ceremony will follow the end of the parade.

About forty units will take part in the parade.

FOX 11’s Pauleen Le spent the morning learning about the importance of the day and the countless hours of work that goes into the event. She also talked with Vietnam veterans from the Appleton area and learned about Artists for the Humanities’ mission to help military members and their families deal with grief and trauma through art.
