MILWAUKEE (AP) – A new poll says Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke still has a ways to go in introducing herself to voters.
A Marquette University law school poll released Wednesday shows 27 percent of registered voters have a favorable opinion of her, and 22 percent have an unfavorable opinion. But a full 46 percent say they haven’t heard enough about her to decide, and the other 5 percent say they don’t know.
Burke is a former executive with Trek Bicycle Corp., and also a former state Commerce secretary. She’s challenging Republican Gov. Scott Walker in November’s race.
The poll of 805 registered voters was conducted between May 15 and Sunday. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
