GREEN BAY – Thousands of people hit the streets for the 15th annual Cellcom Green Bay marathon, Sunday.
This year, runners participating in the full marathon will be running a separate course from half marathon runners.
The races will cover a bigger part of the Green Bay area this year.
Marathon and marathon relay runners will spend more time on the east side of the Fox River, and less time in Ashwaubenon than in year’s past.
The half-marathon course is more traditional. It stays on the west side of the river.
The full marathon race took off at 7 a.m. and the half marathon took off an hour later.
FOX 11’s Pauleen Le spent the morning at the start and finish lines to catch the action.
