The Green Bay Packers announced Thursday they signed wide receiver Jared Abbrederis and center Corey Linsley.
Linsely was the Packers’ first fifth-round draft pick in last week’s NFL draft, while Abbrederis was the team’s second fifth-round pick.
Linsley, from Ohio State, could challenge for the starting center position after the Packers lost 2013 starter Evan Dietrich-Smith in free agency to Tampa Bay.
Abbrederis, from Wautoma High School and Wisconsin, was one of three wide receivers the Packers drafted and could challenge for playing time behind Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Jarrett Boykin.
Linsley, Abbrederis and the rest of the rookie class report to the Packers on Friday for rookie orientation.
