Gomez drops appeal, begins suspension

MILWAUKEE- Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez decided to drop his appeal of the three game suspension stemming from a brawl against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Easter Sunday this year. He will begin serving his suspension immediately on Wednesday night against the Pirates.

Gomez came out of the game Tuesday night, a Brewers win against the Pirates, after his back tightened up. Gomez leads the team with nine home runs.
