Fatal crash knocks out power in NE Wisconsin

VILLAGE OF PLOVER (AP) – A fatal crash knocked out power to about 2,400 residents of the Village of Plover in northeastern Wisconsin.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office says a 37-year-old Vesper man died at the scene in the Town of Plover around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Deputies determined a pickup truck went into the ditch along Highway 54, tried to get back on the road and rolled three times. The driver was ejected.

The man’s name has not been released.

Power was restored by 4:30 a.m.
