Ashwaubenon’s James Morgan and Seymour’s Jon Dietzen have been nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which is Jan. 3, 2015, in the annual East vs. West matchup.

Morgan and Dietzen will be seniors next season and are regarded as the two of the best players in the state. Morgan, a quarterback, has received scholarship offers from Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan, while Dietzen has already verbally committed to play at Wisconsin.

For more than a decade, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the nation’s premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars. Adrian Peterson and Andrew Luck both made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans.

The 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl drew a crowd of 40,017 to the Alamodome, and was the most-watched sporting event on television over the weekend, excluding the NFL playoffs.
