De Pere – De Pere has brought back a downtown celebration to honor the arts, and area artists.
The second annual “Bridging The Arts” series began Friday.
More than 40 downtown businesses display the art, much of which will be for sale.
Organizers believe it’s a way to attract a wide range of artists.
“Many art events are strictly juried, they have extremely high rates of entry or they require commissions on sales. We don’t charge artists to participate so it’s a really great way to be inclusive and include artists of all backgrounds,” says Allyson Watson, the director of Definitely De Pere.
There are three more Friday night dates scheduled during the summer.
June 13th, July 18th and September 12th.
