APPLETON – The city of Appleton has hired a new finance director.
The city council named Tony Saucerman to the position. Saucerman had been the interim finance director since December, and had served as the deputy finance director since 1998.
Saucerman has experience as the controller for Outagamie County from 1991-1998 and, before that, at an accounting firm from 1987-1991. The certified public accountant has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
“Tony brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position, and is a great addition to our director team. We are pleased to have him serve in one of the key leadership positions in our organization,” Mayor Tim Hanna said in a news release.
