STEPHENSON – A Lena man was injured after crashing his plane Tuesday in a Marinette County farm field.
Sheriff’s officials say the small plane was having engine problems when it went down in the town of Stephenson.
The 66-year-old pilot was the only person on board.
Emergency responders say the man felt some back pain, but was otherwise conscious and alert. He was brought to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Sheriff’s officials believe the plane was on its way to the Iron Mountain, Michigan area.
Investigators don’t know where the pilot took off from.
