2 charged in child trafficking case

MANITOWOC – Two men have been charged in a sexual assault and human trafficking case.

Sheriff’s officials say the case began with an April 23 traffic stop in the Sheboygan County town of Sherman. While the vehicle was pulled over, the deputy thought the people inside were acting suspiciously. A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl, who was in the back seat, was taken into protective custody and was later turned over to a parent.

Investigating further, deputies say they found that the girl had been sexually assaulted in a home in the Manitowoc County town of Schleswig. The investigation was turned over to Manitowoc County authorities, who announced the arrests of two men.

JaJuan Q. Shaw, 22, of Milwaukee, has been charged with trafficking of a child and being party to the crime of second-degree sexual assault. David W. Dulek, 52, of Manitowoc County, has been charged with soliciting a child for prostitution, being party to the crime of second-degree sexual assault and sex with a child age 16 or older.

Both men appeared in court on Friday.
