Appleton school says it will close its doors

APPLETON – The Appleton Christian School says the declining enrollment has forced it to close their doors in June.

School administration says it needs about 110 students to be able to operate but only about 55 have signed up for the next school year.

The school has a legacy of 27 years in the Fox Valley, serving students from pre-K up to 8th grade.

“It’s helped a lot of kids through the years and there’s a lot of sad parents and we as a faculty and staff are sad to see this come to an end,” says James Meyer, the school administrator.

School leaders say they’re not sure what led to the decline in enrollment. They say other area religious schools are going through similar issues.
