Skillet Tortellini with Ham and Peas



1 package (20 ounces) fresh or frozen cheese tortellini
2 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups frozen peas
2 cups diced ham
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh chopped Italian parsley


Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain well. Melt butter in large skillet. Cook garlic in the butter for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Add wine and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for a few minutes until it starts to thicken a bit. Whisk in grated Parmesan cheese. Stir in tortellini, peas and ham and toss to coat. Heat to warm. Season with a little salt and pepper. Serve with the shredded Parmesan cheese and parsley on top.
