APPLETON – Some help for the hungry rolled into Appleton Tuesday.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin brought its mobile food pantry. It has enough food to feed roughly 500 people.
Feeding America teamed up with the Salvation Army and other charities for the event.
Organizers say it benefits people you might not think need help.
“Really what we find are that the people in need are our neighbors, you may not think that someone in need lives near you or works with you but the reality is that they probably live down the street,” said Gina Styer, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
Feeding America will bring a truckload of food for the hungry to Green Bay on May 1.
