OSHKOSH – William Doemel was sentenced Thursday to 17 years in prison for a fatal drunk driving crash.
Doemel crashed into another vehicle in Nekimi on Dec. 15, 2012. Robert Zentner was killed and his wife was injured.
According to the criminal complaint, Doemel had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.285, more than three times the limit. His driver’s license was also suspended at the time.
Winnebago County Judge Karen Seifert sentenced Doemel to 12 years in prison for the fatality and another five years for the injuries, according to online court records.
After his release, his driver’s license will be revoked for five years, and then he would be required to have an ignition interlock for five years.
