GREEN BAY – A new poll is ranking the nation’s skinniest and most obese cities, and Green Bay is on one of the lists.
We take a closer look at the numbers.
According to Gallup, here are the most obese communities in the United States:
The survey asked people how tall they are and how much they weigh. Applying that to the body mass index, Gallup determined that 33 percent of people in the Green Bay area are obese.
On the lighter side, here are the top cities with the lowest obesity rates:
The results are based on telephone interviews that were done between January 2012 and December 2013 as part of Gallup’s well-being survey.
At least 300 adults in each 189 metro areas included in the survey were called.
