Melinda joined FOX 11’s Emily Deem on Good Day Wisconsin to share some fun Easter recipes.
The infamous “Frog-eye Salad” goes like this:
1-3.4 box vanilla pudding prepared according to box directions and chilled
½ of a 1 lb. box of acini de pepe noodles (boiled, drained, and set aside)
1-8 oz. container Cool Whip
1- 15 oz. can mandarin oranges (drained)
1- 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (drained)
Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the box directions and chill until it sets up. Boil the noodles; drain, and then chill. Once noodles are chilled, add them to the prepared pudding, stirring to coat them evenly. Add the cool whip, mixing until blended well with the pudding. Then add the oranges and pineapple. Mix well and chill for 30 minutes before serving (to allow all the ingredients to firm up). Enjoy :)
