OSHKOSH – Swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is joining the entertainment lineup at EAA AirVenture.
The band is scheduled to play Aug. 1, as the grand finale of a daylong salute to veterans at the fly-in convention. The evening performance is hosted by EAA Warbirds of American and Disabled American Veterans.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s resume includes performances at Super Bowl XXXIII, appearances in the film “Swingers” and on several television shows. Hit singles include “You & Me and the Bottle Makes Three Tonight” and “Go Daddy-O.”
“Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s music is the perfect finale to a full day of events that will honor American veterans and active duty personnel at AirVenture 2014,” Jack Pelton, EAA Chairman of the Board, said in a news release. “The band’s music not only evokes memories of the original swing era, but their enthusiastic following also bridges generations, just like the activities at Oshkosh.”
The 62nd AirVenture convention is scheduled for July 27-Aug. 3.
