GREEN BAY – An investigation into possible shots fired overnight has turned up empty.
Green Bay police say they were called to the 1300 block of S. Chestnut Ave. just after 4:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired. Officers found several shell casings in the area and found what appeared to be bullet holes in a house. Now, police say the holes turned out not to be bullet holes.
Police have not found anyone who was hurt by gunfire, nor have they found any houses or vehicles hit by gunfire.
Officers say they have spoken to witnesses to a possible disturbance and are following up on leads.
