APPLETON – Dust off your turntables! A music sale in Appleton took buyers back to the days before iPods and CDs.
The Fox Valley Vinyl Record Show featured albums from the 1950s to the 80s.
Vendors from around the area offered plenty of variety.
From LPs to 45s, and rock to jazz – Sunday’s show had it all.
People could buy, sell or browse.
And while records may seem outdated to some, they are back in style for others.
“We have a lot of the younger crowd in here, too – where they’re going back to their parent’s music, or they’re going back to the records because they realize that the vinyl does sound better,” said event coordinator James Young.
Young says the records also have an appeal beyond their music. He says some people buy them specifically for the album art.
