OSHKOSH – People gathered in Oshkosh for a chance to admire some fine art, and to raise money for a good cause Saturday.
The 8th annual “Art in the Garden” was held at the Hilton Garden Inn.
There were paintings, pottery, and also some high school artwork.
Visitors were asked to vote for their favorites.
The Altrusa Club of Oshkosh hosted today’s event.
Members say it’s a fundraiser with a goal of helping the Oshkosh fire department buy new heart compression machines.
“It’s like a CPR that the machine does for you. And it frees up whoever is in the ambulance to do other things – to run an IV or other things – to help the patient as they’re going to the hospital,” said Ingrid Christianson, Oshkosh Altrusa Club president.
The club has already purchased three machines, with plans for four more.
“Art in the Garden” continues Sunday, from 10 until four.
