MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have added a bobblehead doll giveaway to their schedule – to celebrate their newest four-legged superstar.

A dog named Hank has been the center of attention since it wandered into the Brewers’ spring training facility in February. The team took care of the dog, and updates on Hank became very popular when the Brewers posted them on social media. Hank arrived in Milwaukee on March 16, and has since “signed” a contract with the Brewers.

The bobblehead giveaway has been scheduled for the Brewers’ Sept. 13 game against the Cincinnati Reds. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Wisconsin Humane Society’s Hank Fund, which benefits stray animals in the Milwaukee area. There will also be pets available for adoption at the game, the team says, and fans are encouraged to bring donations of pet supplies to the games during the entire weekend series.

Tickets to the game are available through the team’s website or by calling (414) 902-4000.
