GREEN BAY – Volunteers are needed for the 2014 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon.
Marathon organizers are looking for volunteers in the packet assembly, expo staff, greeters, start and finish line crews, food tent staff, course security, clean-up, information booth and other areas.
“In addition to public safety support at major intersections, volunteers serve as corner guards to guide runners and control traffic along the route, so the additional miles of course have added to our volunteer needs,” Jody Weyers, volunteer coordinator for the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon, said in a news release.
An optional volunteer orientation meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. May 15. The marathon and related events are scheduled for the weekend of May 16-18.
