GREEN BAY – Green Bay West High School hosted a competition with plenty of twists and turns this weekend.
Sunday was the final day of the State YMCA Gymnastics Championships.
About 1,000 competitors took their turns on the bar, beam, floor and vault.
For most, it was the final meet of the season. And a final chance to show off their skills for the crowd.
“Kids of all ages have worked really, really hard to accomplish what they have this year, and the state meet is a great way to showcase what they’ve accomplished over the course of the season,” said Beth Kennerhed with the Broadview Center YMCA.
Girls ages five through 18 competed at this weekend’s event.
Some will go on to nationals this summer in Tampa Bay, Florida.
