GREEN BAY – Members of the Green Bay Elks Lodge 259 invited guests to take a look at the club’s history Saturday.
The lodge is celebrating 121 years of service to the community.
Visitors could view the club’s earliest records of its meetings, including its very first meeting.
Members say those records are always available.
“If anybody would like to come see them, do some history research about the people of this community and the history of this community. We’ve been part of this and the people in these books are part of the history of this city,” said George Harper with Green Bay Lodge 259.
Elks Lodge 259 services the Green Bay area as well as Brown, Kewaunee and Door Counties.
It provides a number of community adult and youth programs, as well as scholarships.
